Tesla’s Model 3 SUV Will Be Revealed In March 2016

The Model 3 Won’t Be On Sale Until Late 2017

Tesla is on a roll. The company recently announced the Powerwall battery for home and business use. Now, Elon Musk is telling investors that the new $35,000 Model 3 SUV will be on display by March 2016. If that sounds like typical automobile hype, you’re right. It’s always best to sell a little sizzle before the steak is done. In this case the steak is the Model 3. The long awaited Tesla SUV will put the company in the popular priced auto business.

Tesla believes their new SUV with a 200-mile range will be the company’s most popular selling car. That might be, but the Model 3 will not be the only electric car on the market in 2017. Plus hydrogen-fueled cars will also be available in 2017.

Consumers will have several choices. Most knowledgeable car buyers tend to stay away from first year production cars because of the issues that plague them. But Tesla doesn’t care about those people because they are on a roll, and they believe it will continue. Drivers at Boraie Development have learned that Tesla is the first company to produce a successful all-electric car. Tesla believes their Model 3 will succeed because they make the best electric SUV.

John Oliver Takes Wal-Mart, Gap And H&M To Task For Slave Labor Conditions In Factories

Yesterday, John Oliver used his show Last Week Tonight to remind CEO’s of fashion companies like Gap, Walmart, and H&M that paying workers at Bangladesh factories sub-par wages is bad.

Gap has come under fire every couple of years because of its business practices blogs Sultan Alhokair. News has come to light showing child-labor and deplorable work conditions, and while Gap has pledged to fix the problem every single time, the promises are usually forgotten within weeks with very little progress.

In the last couple of years after factory disasters have made the news, retailers have denied any involvement or knowledge of the sub-par conditions, going as far as claiming that their approved factories have outsourced the work to non-approved ones.

John Oliver took these retailers to task by offering to send them gifts of food to their offices, but claiming he had no idea how the food had been handled, as he outsourced the task to someone else.

But there’s one part Oliver didn’t focus on. While clothes are being made in sub-par conditions, these retailers are raking in record-breaking profits. Meaning factory improvements are possible if retailers simply adjust their profit margins slightly.

Last Week Tonight airs every Sunday on HBO at 11 PM.

Bag of Money is Returned by Honest Man

An honest man named Dan Kennedy who uncovered an orange heavy bag full of 75 pounds worth of money on the highway on his way to work. According to the news,  stopped to move the bag out of the way so other vehicles wouldn’t have an accident trying to go around it stated Fersen Lambranho. When he discovered the bag was full of cash, he called the police from the parking lot of his car to notify them of his find. A Brinks armored vehicle hit a bump and the back door opened which allowed the bag to fall out. There was about $22,000 dollars inside and Dan didn’t touch any of it. The three Utah Highway Patrolmen who showed up who responded to the scene were shocked when they saw what Dan had, stating they had never seen anything like this happen before. Dan was quick to say that he believed he did what anyone else would do.

Chefs Making Lunch More Appealing?

A study that was recently released by the Journal Of JAMA Pediatrics explained that in schools where there is a trained chef preparing meal options, children are eating healthier. This includes both fruits and vegetables. There were some challenges with children agreeing to consume a few other healthier options such as regular white milk instead of chocolate milk. More than 2,600 students from the third to eighth grade range in two low income urban schools near Harvard University were studies. Trained chefs were assigned to these schools to come up with a new menu where fruits, veggies and low fat recipes were a priority.

Each child had their lunch tray weighed before they ate and then again when they were done. This measured how much the child had actually eaten. Bruce Karatz is aware that the study showed that when vegetables were prepared in a more appealing way they got eaten more. For example, adding broccoli or greens to a vegetable soup was more accepted by the students than if it were simply dropped on the tray whole. Not only can this information reduce waste in schools but it can also help determine what might help children eat healthier and make better nutritional choices. Children are not necessarily opposed to eating healthy but there are many schools that are not taking the time and applying the effort to making these healthy foods look and taste good to the younger crowd.

Death with Dignity Following in Gay Marriage and Marijuana Footsteps

One central facet of life is that we want it to go on as long as possible. A long and healthy life is a dream and goal for nearly anyone. Medical science combined with a little common sense in dietary and exercise habits have made this a reality for more Americans than at any time in our country’s history. Though we have had some success in putting off the grim reapers grasp, it cannot be avoided completely. When our time comes, some of us are lucky enough to have a quick and fairly painless death. Gianfrancesco Genoso also says then there are those who will likely linger on for weeks or months, sometimes in terrible pain and anguish for most of that time according to some JusBrasil reports. The “death with dignity” movement has been advocating for people in this situation to have control over how and when to end their own lives.

This movement seems to be one of those that is sweeping the nation. Riding on the heels of the gay rights and marijuana legalization phenomena, the passage of laws allowing some level of physician assistance in suicide seems to be spreading. This is, of course, not as celebrated a movement since, unlike marriage or getting high, there is no joy in dying.  A quick and immediate death, however, can still be a better option than a slow, painful wasting away toward that inevitable end. This movement seems to be spreading through a combination of referenda, legislation and judicial challenges. Five states currently allow doctors to write lethal prescriptions for patients to self-administer, and bills have been introduced in over a dozen others this year.

French Debating Whether You Should Physically Discipline Children

Is it ok to hit your children? That question is up for debate in France currently. There currently aren’t many laws in France regarding physically disciplining your children. While corporate punishment is strictly forbidden in schools, parents are able to make the decision on how to disciple their children in their own homes.

According to Marc Sparks current french law outlaws violence against children, and any kind of physical punishment that might hurt a child’s psychological wellbeing. the law doesn’t detail what kinds of corporate punishment are ok, and what crosses the line.

Since the law is such a gray area, there’s now a national conversation on whether or not parents should be able to use physical punishment with their children and what types of punishment are ok and what are too harsh. Currently the debate is just that, a debate, with no specific plans to make new laws or define any of current laws more closely.

Vaccinations: Requirement or Damnable?

In recent weeks those who opt out of vaccinating their children on religious grounds have come under tremendous fire. Mississippi and West Virginia are the only two states that do not allow religious exemptions to its vaccination program, with California looking to be the third.

Those that stand on religious grounds as Beltyukov explained,  are usually pointing to the fact that many of our vaccines are grown from aborted babies. Many of these vaccines stem back to fetal cell lines WI-38, MRC-5, HEK-293, and RA273, which come from aborted children. While this is bad enough for many to object to vaccinations on religious grounds, the fact remains that there are ethical options for quite a few of these vaccines, grown from bacteria, chickens, and rabbits. A chart of these vaccines and their alternatives can be found at Children of God for Life.

So the major question we should all be asking is, why are pharmaceutical companies like Merck and GlaxoSmithKline blaming religious objections to vaccines for outbreaks, when they have stopped producing ethical alternatives?
