Ancient Traditions are Brought into the Modern World by the Kabbalah Centre

The Kabbalah Centre has been one of the fastest growing religious groups in the world for the past half a century, including the global impact the group has had as it has moved from its initial base in Queens, New York to many global capitals. Kabbalah itself is an ancient tradition of writing that has been studied and enjoyed for thousands of years since the dawn of religion in the Garden of Eden; the tradition of Kabbalah has largely been hidden away from the public by teachers of Judaism who believed this was a difficult set of scriptures to enjoy.

Because Kabbalah has often been seen as a difficult aspect of Judaism it has remained largely unchanged until the work of a number of religious leaders led to the establishment of The Kabbalah Centre. The ancient aspects of these teachings mean a number of the traditional parts of life in history remain important to following the Kabbalah in a successful way, such as astrology and ancient teachings on the best way to live life.

The teachers from The Kabbalah Centre have looked to provide a new way of following this ancient traditional way of living life and becoming closer to the figure we all view as God; along with the success of the teachings that have evolved through the work of The Kabbalah Centre the lack of judgement offered by the teachers of this form of religious teaching has led to a massive growth from the 1960s onward. The Kabbalah Centre can trace its roots back to the 1920s when the first modern translations of the Jewish scripture known as the Zohar were published in conjunction with the work of Jewish religious leaders.

Unlike the majority of modern religious groups, the aim of The Kabbalah Centre is not to convert those who decide to follow the works published and lesson plans; instead, the lessons take a universal approach to spirituality that allow followers of any faith to translate the lessons of the group into their own belief system. The Kabbalah Centre teachers take the view that all the religious works of history can be rooted back through the Kabbalah to allow individuals the chance to find a path to enlightenment that is open to all people regardless of gender, race, or religious belief system.

Grounded Understanding with Kabbalah

Many people today feel disconnected to the true purpose of their lives. This is not a modern phenomenon, and humans have always felt this in their lives through the course of time. Kabbalah is an ancient interpretation of Bible. This Jewish interpretation has been studied since ancient times. Humans have always been interested in finding a deeper meaning in their lives and a deeper connection to their spirituality regardless of religion. It is a common theme woven throughout history through every religion.

The Kabbalah’s teachings have always helped to uncover some of those deeper meanings even in ancient times. Today however, with the increase of modern technology and busy lifestyles it is even more common for people to feel lost and disconnected from their true sense of purpose. It is just in time that Kabbalah Center has opened up their doors and their teachings to anyone regardless of race, gender or religion.

Studying Kabbalah will get a student only so far, but applying the teachings of Kabbalah to life can help students to find a deeper meaning in life, no matter what their religion. Kabbalah recognizes that the physical and spiritual realms are complex and easy to get lost in. The secrets in feeling more at peace and grounded within the physical and spiritual body lies in knowing how to navigate these realms better, and that is what Kabbalah seeks to help it’s students to understand and apply to their lives.

Luckily with the advent of the Kabbalah Center many other centers have opened up throughout the world. It is truly a global school and there are centers is most major cities. Students who wish to get started or continue their studies outside of the religion center are able to find classes on thousands of different teachings through the Kabbalah Center website, much like an online university where students can go to study when they can’t reach a campus.

The Kabbalah Center Helps People Study Kabbalah

Background Information On Kabbalah

Kabbalah takes a spiritual and mystical approach to interpreting the Torah. Much of what we know about Kabbalah comes from a work called the Zohar. It was compiled by an ancient Jewish scholar that was named Shimon bar Yochai. He was a leading rabbi and kabbalist or scholar of Kabbalah at the time. What Shimon bar Yochai is most famous is for taking all of the previous commentary and studies of Kabbalah and transfixing them into a single document that came to be known as the Zohar.

Today the Zohar is the main document used when studying in Kabbalah. It is not the only document used in Kabbalah study however. New works and interpretations constantly appear as new scholars provide their own insight and interpretation and have it published. A person who has studied Kabbalah and is an expert in it is called a Rebbe or a kabbalist. This is not to be confused with Rabbi, which is like a priest or pastor in the Christian faith.

If you want to study Kabbalah, then it is best to learn from a Rebbe or someone who has mastered Kabbalah. Rebbe’s often devote their entire lives to the study of Kabbalah. Many Rebbes are also Rabbis but not all Rebbes are Rabbis. The most famous Rebbe or scholar of Kabbalah is the famous Menachem Mendel Schneerson also known as the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

The Unique History of the Kabbalah Centre

The word Kabbalah means “to receive.” It explains how life and the universe work together using an ancient wisdom. Kabbalah teaches how our lives can receive more fulfillment. The Kabbalah Centre is a place that teaches this wisdom in order to obtain better life in a better world.

The Kabbalah Centre is non-profit that makes Kabbalah meaningful to everyday life. Back in 1922, the very first modern master kabbalist was Rav Yehuda Ashlag. He is the one who founded the roots of today’s Kabbalah Centre. His student, Raav Yehuda Tzvi Brandwein was passed the leadership mantle and enlightenment sources, who then passed the torch of wisdom to Rav Berg. The Kabbalah Centre then began.

Kabbalah, which is also called the Veiled Wisdom, actually started thousands of years ago by receiving the hidden knowledge of God. This includes God’s plans for the unseen as well as the seen universe. It is still often described as Jewish mysticism or secret wisdom. It began as knowledge being handed down orally as tradition to chosen people as from Adam to Abraham to Moses. At first, the knowledge was only reserved for married men over the age of 40. These men had to be Jewish law scholars.

Younger men had to learn from a kabbalist, however, this was met with deterrents. Women, children and unlearned men wouldn’t have been formally trained in this wisdom.

The study became even harder to obtain in the 18th century. Only rabbis and chosen kabbalists had access to unsupervised writings. The study was also being kept as handwritten to keep it out of the unlearned hands. Reasons for this secrecy were because the writings were about God that had not been written in the Torah.

Moving ahead into the 20th century, Rav Berg had married. When this first marriage was dissolved, he met Karen Mulchin. Karen had a background in astrology, meditation and the mystical sphere and wanted Rav Berg to teach her Kabbalah. They married in 1971. He taught her Kabbalah and she in turn taught him about people. In the late 1980s The Kabbalah Centre was continually growing. There are several such this religion Centres around the world today.

Millennials Are As Racist As The Baby Boomers

Racist Parents Teach Racism To Their Off Springs

The recent events in Oklahoma, Indiana, Texas, Mississippi, and North Carolina show how divided the country is when it comes to accepting diversity. We don’t handle differences very well. We fight about our religious beliefs, our marriage standards, our race and our gender orientation. We learn to fight about things that don’t conform to our version of truth at an early age. Our parents may not say they are racists or bigots, but their actions tell a different story. We live in a society that fears differences and condones sameness.

Recent surveys show that Millennials may not be as prejudice as baby boomers, but the point spread is not large enough to say the country is handling race relations, sexual orientation and same-sex marriages any better than the generation before them. Folks at STX Entertainment (deadline.com)  know that America was founded on the premise that all citizens have equal rights and the freedom to express their beliefs.

We are caught in a religious war, and the consequences of that war manifest in pockets of sanctimonious beliefs that reject the rights of others. Our government is filled with deep-seeded bigots that have the power to make laws at the expense of our freedom.

Coalition Of Black Churches Breaks Its Fellowship With The U.S. Presbyterian Church

The National Black Church Initiative has a membership that has some political weight to it. NBCI has a coalition of 34,000 churches and 15.7 million black members. The Presbyterian Church USA recently approved same-sex marriages, and the NBCI doesn’t want anything to do with same-sex marriages. According to the African-American Coalition, same-sex marriages do not follow Christian teachings and the Word of God. The NBCI stands staunchly behind the Word of God. Their coalition wants the PCUSA to repent and stand by that Word too.

Brian Torchin asks what’s wrong with this picture? An African-American group of churches wants to discriminate against the gay and lesbian community, and in their religious minds God says that’s okay. If there is a list of double standards, the NBCI decision is surely at the top of that list.

We wonder why the world is at war. We wonder why we can’t get along. The answer is simple. Our beliefs create separation, and we don’t accept one another. We don’t celebrate diversity; we fear it. We allow our rituals and religious reasons color our sensibility. God doesn’t create the laws; humans do. Our religious beliefs have caused more death and destruction than the natural acts we fear so much. It’s time to recognize the villains of freedom and equal rights. It’s time to look in the mirror and accept responsibility for our distorted beliefs.
